On Saturday 6th September volunteers from the Brecon Dementia Friendly Community group packed bags at Morrisons and raised £527 towards the Tea Cosy memory cafe in Brecon.
"It was a really valuable morning", said Donna Gair (pictured with her daughter Bethan) who works at Brecon Medical Practice and is a Dementia Friends Champion.
"People gave very generously and we also raised the profile of the work by handing out copies of our Hints and Tips leaflet, as well as details for the open Dementia Friends Sessions running in Brecon this autumn".
A big thank you to all those who contributed and the staff of Morrisons for their help and support. We would also like to thank Colonel Nutting for lending us the Army Benevolent Fund buckets.
