Age Cymru’s arts in care homes project cARTrefu has been running for one year now and has already delivered free arts residencies to 48 residential care homes around Wales.
Age Cymru’s cARTrefu project began in 2015 and involves sixteen arts practitioners throughout Wales specialising in music, art, writing, and movement. Over the course of two years each practitioner will lead eight residencies in care homes, each lasting for eight weeks. Care staff from the homes are involved so that they are able to build their own confidence in using creative arts with their residents.
