An innovative new dementia friendly project is up and running in Brecon. The Memory Box Loan Scheme, which is run by Brecon Museum and Art Gallery and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is aimed at those living with, or caring for, older people. Memory boxes have been made up and contain a range of objects from the 50's, 60's and 70's. The idea behind the boxes is that they can be used to stimulate memory and start conversations.
