National Assembly for Wales to become Dementia-Friendly

On 25 February 2015 The National Assembly for Wales announced its ambition to become a dementia-friendly organisation, supporting the 45,000 people living with dementia in Wales.

The announcement was made by Sandy Mewies AM, Assembly Commissioner with responsibility for equalities issues, at an event celebrating the first anniversary of Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Friends initiative in Cardiff Bay.

Representatives from Dementia Friendly Brecon were invited to attend with a stand to promote the good work done by volunteers within the Brecon community to date.
